Venetian villas along the Riviera del Brenta

06:00 am Bus departure from Trieste, Piazza Oberdan (*) to Veneto.

Arrival at Villa Foscari known as “La Malcontenta” for a visit to the villa designed in 1560 by Andrea Palladio, with the interior walls entirely frescoed by Giambattista Franco and Giovanni Battista Zelotti. Then embarkation on the motorboat and start of navigation among villas, riparian villages, locks and swing bridges with illustration of the various villas seen from the river.

Arrival in Mira and visit to Villa Widmann, a sumptuous 18th-century residence designed by Andrea Tirali and frescoed by Giuseppe Angeli. Crossing the Chiusa di Mira, with ascent of the watery slope and continuation of navigation between Villas and swing bridges. Arrival at Dolo wharf and disembarkation.

At the end, transfer to Stra and guided tour of Villa Pisani, the most imposing mansion on the Brenta Riviera, rich in halls frescoed by the greatest painters of the time and surrounded by a magnificent park that makes it called “the Versailles of the Brenta.”

At the end of the visit start the return journey, arriving in Trieste in the evening.
