Ca’ Rezzonico and water show – from the Grand Salon to the Carnival show

This year, the Carnival of Venice celebrates “Olympus – At the Origins of the Game,” a theme that interweaves Olympic spirit, myth and contemporary creativity, transforming the city into a true widespread stage.
And as always, NET – Experiences in the Northeast cannot miss the Carnival in Venice and is reintroducing the same winning formula as in previous years, enriched with new insights and the unique magic of this edition.

On this special day we will take you from the refined atmospheres of eighteenth-century Venice to the lights and magic of the great water show at the Arsenale: a journey that combines history, myth, and celebration in a single experience.

Our adventure will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Venice Santa Lucia station, where the guide will welcome the group for a narrative walk through the Dorsoduro sestiere. Among winding calli, bright fields and glimpses of the Grand Canal, we will breathe in the energy of Carnival and discover curiosities and traditions that make it unique.

We will then reach Ca’ Rezzonico, the magnificent palace overlooking the Grand Canal that houses the Museo del Settecento Veneziano. Here we will enter the splendor of Venice’s golden age: frescoed salons, precious furnishings, party dresses, stories of masked balls and intrigue that animated the city in its most worldly period.

After the visit is over, you will have free time for lunch and to fully immerse yourself in the Carnival atmosphere: masks, colors, music, fritole and galani, artisan stores and the irresistible vibe of the city in celebration.

In the afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., we will gather to head together to the Arsenal Docks. From here, aboard a private boat, we will cross the lagoon in an evocative navigation that will lead us to the area dedicated to the Carnival Water Show.

Once there, we will witness an extraordinary event: a water show made of lights, music, dance and choreography inspired by the mythological world and the “Olympus” spirit. An immersive and exciting experience, unique in the panorama of Venetian events.

At the end of the show, we will begin the return journey back to the station. Those who wish will be able to join a commented evening walk (about an hour), while those who prefer will be able to return independently by waterbus.
