Aquileia: its Basilica, its archaeological park and its wines

Once a major river trade crossroads, Aquileia played a key role in the history of the Roman Empire and in the spread of Christianity in Europe, thanks to the work of the evangelist St. Mark, who chose it as a missionary center.
